Tripps we can try to educate some till we just end up banging our heads on our keyboards but at least we are trying and others out there are trying just as hard and standing just as firmly as we are. Thank goodness for all those that try to teach.

Joemomma it is only a conspiracy until it comes to life right before your eyes. That is if the world would take off it's Rose Colored Riding Goggles.

Well, I actually still own 2 vintage cars. The 1973 Mach 1 had all the horsepower strangled out of it's 351 CJ by low compression and poorly implemented pollution controls. We found ways around that, but everyone said the era of the musclecar and big horsepower was gone forever. Except now you can buy a 650 hp Mustang with a warranty that runs on pump gas and passes MORE stringent emission testing.
I don't particularly like ethanol, especially from corn, in my gas. But I don't think having E 15 as an alternative for vehicles that are designed to use it as being the end of times. I can drive 1.2 miles from my house and get non-ethanol premium gas, and 1 mile to get Sunoco race gas, I can't imagine that isn't the case for most everyone; this is not a major metropolitan era.

My best option so far is the 4 to 1 Av Gas/Unleaded Mixture. I will be researching soon on the Race Fuels in my area.

Agree bit sucks you cannot enjoy that Vintage Mach 1 as it was meant to be enjoyed.

a friend and I are working on an old bike, a 1976 GL1000. Not E10 compliant. We have to replace all the rubber and plastic in the carbs (which needs to be done anyway), and replace the fuel lines (which also needs doing anyway). Pretty much that's it.

Better redo the valve seats and retard the timing and make sure the pistons are not over 8:5 - 1.
