That particular statement was not directed at you personally; but, you chose to take umbrage with it and resorted to calling me lame, irresponsible, or paranoid in several posts. I'm not particularly paranoid, but I fully realize that crime is everywhere, criminals are mobile, and living in a 'good neighborhood' or even a gated community (why is it that the law abiding should have to live behind bars instead of the criminals?) in no way guarantees one's safety. I live in Houston where home invasions happen from time to time, folks are followed home and robbed in their driveways or followed through the front door. It's always wise to take reasonable precautions.

Hey, if you feel 'safe' with a gun in your neck-of-the-woods then good for you...I don't, and I resent being told I should by someone who has no understanding whatsoever of my personal circumstances.
I've always felt safe with firearms in my home. When my daughters were children, I strictly controlled their access to them, educated them about how they worked, what they were capable of, and the moral implications of their use. As a result, both of them are responsible and competent with them and will in all probability pass that same concept of responsibility on to my grandchildren. A responsible gun owner takes reasonable precautions to keep firearms out of the hands of the incompetent; whether an adult or child. ...............James.

He means a piece of sh*t on the shoes of humanity who whould put a gun under the chin of a young girl he had already incapacitated by shooting several times, and pull the trigger again.

It's about reasonable behaviour, or lack of it, by the supposed responcible adult/victim. It's about the right to bear arms, so that government can't totally dictate to US citizens, being taken as a right to kill individual people because the shooter doesn't like them.

It's clearly not about self-defence and begs the question why anyone in their right mind would think a murderous w*anker should have the right to bear arms, or even be allowed a vote, in the first place.

Felons are not allowed to vote but they have to be convicted first.

I'm not sure I could shoot a girl, unarmed/incapacitated or otherwise.

OK so there's REALLY BAD but there's also BAD. How does "baddness" or "goodness" look to us in daily life.

Here's an example, something that I witnessed on Monday. After finishing my lunch in Edington's cafeteria I slipped a dollar bill under my plate for the person who was going to bus my tray - that the process there. You just leave your stuff on the table and they clear it for you. The guy next to me says "you don't need to do that, they didn't serve your food or wait on you." I ignored him and left. When I was going past the window, on the street I look back and saw the fella who talked to me snatch the dollar from the tray before the bus boy got there. That's some creepy sh*t. What is this guy capable of if no one is looking and he's free to act at will?

Did you go back and tell him to put it back?

If not you accepted what he did as okay.

They also planned to invade England but failed to execute that plan either.

Contrary to popular belief, I do not make this crap up.

I think you will find that the British fight in the sky to defend themselves took the fire out of German invasion plans. Shear determination to die fighting by the Brits was what stopped the nazis from invading England.
