Moosehead Lager
If you get a chance try Moosehead, made in Saint John N.B. Canada. you won't regret it, it is one of the finest lagers in North America, seriously. Here in New Brunswick it costs $23, and change. I bought it in Florida, last year for $9.99 per dozen. They can ship it all the way to Florida and sell it for half of what it costs where it's made. Tell me we aren't taxed to death And it's union made

umm... beer
To quote Benjamin Franklin. "Beer is proof there is a god..."
Ahh, my favorite subject... okay, second favorite subject... I used to brew and became rather fond of ales during the process, rather than lagers. Amber ales are typically my favorite and there are some micro-breweries out of the mid-west and New Englad areas that I like the best. Lately though, I've been gorging on Pumpkin ales which I typically hate with a passion, but "Pumpking" Imperial ale is quite tasty and bites at 8.7% alchohol content.
Taste buds are far more important than brain cells. Bring on the Barely Malt!!
Slainte!

Hahaha, that's hilarious! (A Merkin is a pubic wig).
As for beers, I like most of them. Anchor Steam and and Abita Turbo Dog are 2 of my favorites.
In Oklahoma max alcohol per volume is 3.2% unless purchased room temperature a liquor store. After seeing some of the set-ups here I should look into a home brew kit.

That is piss poor.
If they tried that here it might be the only thing that got us to march on Parliament Hill with our torches and pitchforks.

Spaten Oktoberfest is the absolute best beer on earth! IMO of course
I love Oktoberfest style beers. Anything amber colored and malty is for me. I dont care for IPAs or bitter beers. If its yellow im unlikely to drink it also, with the exception of Labatts.

Moosehead is the only beer my dad ever drinks. He won't drink beer otherwise.

Leftie... Around here most folks drink Alpine which is also made at Moosehead breweries. It's even better than "Moose green", thats what the locals call it. My late father weaned me on Alpine when I was a wee lad. We used to be able to buy it in quart bottles, they were awesome. Moose green hasn't been out that long, maybe 15 or 20 years. Moosehead beer, was always pale ale years ago, and you can still buy it. If your dad's a ball cap, or tshirt wearer, P.M. me with your address and I'll mail you one for him for Christmas. Moosehead is the oldest independant brewery in Canada, and the owners live here in town. If you and your dad ever come to Saint John, look me up and I'll take you over to see the brewery, and the Moosehead store. I only make my own cause of the wicked tax they charge on the local beer really pisses me off. Otherwise all I'd drink would be Alpine, to bad you can't get Alpine in the States.

My Mum's family have lived in Norwich for generations and I lived in Norfolk from '68 to '81. I am a big fan of Woodforde's and have visited the brewery and pub several times .
As an aside- I'm sitting here in my office in northern Johannesburg. Just 2 miles away is a street called Wroxham Road and in the city centre there is an Edith Cavell Street!
