Hmmm.....I must say I do enjoy a good bottle of Newcastle Brown Ale, or "dog" as it is called Oop Norf.
But usually I stick with whatever is on sale as I like loads of other beers....mainly lagers...Harp, Heineken, Sapporo, Asahi, Wingwalker, Michelob, Tsing-Tao, etc......any of those will do me just fine.

Matso's Smokey Bishop, Monteith's 'Doppelbock' Winter Beer, Boston Brewery's Wheat beer, Hoffbreu 'Dunkel' all preferably draught.
As I live in Aus the beer needs to be chilled.......beer at room temp here is called 'Kimberley cool' and is for extremely desperate times only or alcoholic's
I also home brew from time to time

Lived in Germany for three years while in the service. The darker the better. Dunkel, Bock, Doppelbock.
Tried rauchbier, but couldn't get past the liquid bacon sensation.
My current favorite is Samichlaus beer from Austria. Brewed one day per year, it is perfection in a bottle!

This jug provided 52 bottles of Amber ale for which I now have to wait for them to carbonate. For the first time I didn't do a transfer to a secondary, but let it sit in the primary for 11 days before bottling. The pre-carbarnation sample tasted very good so I think all will be well.
A 22 ounce bottle of Dick's Danger Ale provided the energy for the bottling task.

I don't know if Governor Hickenlooper (of Colorado) had microbreweries in his restaurants, but I suspect he did. He ran for mayor of Denver to begin with and it sort of took off from there. His beef was with parking in the downtown area where his restaurants were and now he runs the whole danged state. I like him though.
I don't drink, but I felt the need to post in this thread.
The White House makes it's own beer. There's a thread somewhere here on it.

I don't understand people who say things like "I'm a Bud man" and always drink the same brand. To me that makes about as much sense as deciding you like hamburgers and are going to eat them every meal.
Different types of beer taste better in different settings, with different food, and in different seasons. So many great beers, so little time.

Those are some nice setups. Someday, maybe I'll graduate.
