Killer Robots Banned
Apparently they're writing up the legislation before they are invented. It's all a bit ghoulish.

If the machines don't rise we're going to have to rely on zombies for all our apocalypse related entertainment and I hate putting all my eggs in one basket.

Since I was a child, I have witnessed the escalation in violence among robots, I think the legislation is essential before they start rockin and socking their human masters...

Excerpt from article: "A number of governments, including the United States, are very excited about moving in this direction, very excited about taking the soldier off the battlefield and putting machines on the battlefield and thereby lowering casualties," said Steve Goose, arms division director at HRW.While Mr Goose said "killer robots" do not exist as yet, he warned of precursors.
He added the best way to forestall an ethical nightmare is a "pre-emptive, comprehensive prohibition on the development or production of these systems.""
Ha! What does a goose know about arms, anyway. It only has wings.

If our government is talking about banning or disallowing them what that really means is that we already have a working prototype being tested or produced as we speak (from our forked tongues).
Remember, not all there is to see in places like Area 51 happens in the night sky <insert Twighlight Zone music or bumper music from Coast to Coast here>...

Is it in Formula One that manufacturers have to sell engines to smaller teams so they can compete? We should do that with war, as well. We can use killer robots, but have to give some to the enemy too, to make it fair...

Don't American soldiers already dodge their own bullets? I am no expert on the matter, but I thought American arms find their way into American enemies hands already.

The issue is autonomous and semi-autonomous robots making kill decisions without human intervention or input. A valid concern, I'd say.
