I thought I would be able to finish out the month, but Saturday morning I could no longer stand the itching on my cheeks when wearing my helmet. So in a fit I shaved everything off, leaving just the eyebrows. Yesterday's ride was so much more pleasant.

For charity I was trying to go the whole month of November without shaving. I almost made it, but still contributed to the women's charities. Fortunately, the spousal surrogate prefers me shaved...as I prefer her!

Ok Lefty. I'm on to you. This at least your second reference to that Charlie Daniels song. Are you starting to like the country music your workmates force you to listen to?

I'll admit to finding Charlie Daniels funny. That's as far as I'll go with country. The rest can all burn in Hell.

I like country. Just not the country they play on the radio where the 'country' artist talks about how much they 'rock'.

But I can listen to Johnny Cash or Willy Nelson no problem. I even saw Willy in concert at the Fillmore. Some kindly folks there handed me a home-made cigarette.

The country I'm tortured with everyday is really rock with country buzzwords like beer, four-wheel-drive, sweet tea, Jesus, and truck thrown in.

Agree, most modern country music seems to have been "rocked-out" to a large extent. It's not my thing at all, but it certainly makes it slightly more palatable if I'm being exposed to it...which is rare, as I work in construction....no prizes for guessing what music I'm tortured with there.
