This argument is getting tiresome...I'm right, no I'm right.....
When a company is no longer able to be financially viable, it goes out of business, nuff said. It's sad for the workers(been there, done that), but get over it. Stop blaming the workers, unions, management, etc. it just is. Get over it and move on.....

According to this:
http://www.opensecrets.org/overview/topcontribs.php
Unions make up 18 of the top 100 political donors. (I may have missed one or two).

Besides that, Twinkies are just plain crap. If Hostess could have found it's way onto the path of actually producing tasty food, it and the union would still be "fat."

I agree. Blame has become the name of the game, at least in America. No one takes responsibility anymore, it's just easier to blame the other guy.

Say what you will about unions or vulture capitalists PopPop, but you're flat wrong on your assessment of Twinkies!
Twinkies are great!

Ahh, a Twinkie addict. . My point is that there are a lot of other, better tasting choices our there. Regardless of cost, no one is counting calories when the go into a bakery. People will spend their money for quality. Twinkies simply are dinosaurs that have outlived their stay on earth. But don't despair, any that remain will last forever, until eaten.

What people don't realize is only 5,000 of those 18,000 workers were union. The additional 13,000 are collateral damage. R.I.P. Twinkies... see you in hell.

I'm not an addict. I can quit at any time.
OK, to be honest I can't say I've actually bought all that many twinkies in my life, but I do like them.

I doubt that Twinkies will go away, regardless of the fate of the company.
