Is this not an oxymoron?

The problem is that there is a large demographic that DOES believe what's fed to them by Fox. They are the willfully misinformed who enjoy becoming livid over fiction and behaving as if it were fact.

Slow. I am pretty sure that most news all of us see or hear every day comes from just a small number of investigative reporting sources. IE: AP, Reuters, BBC and local media passing info up the line.

Because a source of reported or printed information is CNN, FOX, NBC,CBS, ABC can not be dismissed because of their known political leanings. The original reporting entity may be a whistle blower for any agency, or a disgruntled union zealot bent on discrediting his union.

Your continual harangue against the right is no different than the continual harangue the right has blasted at you and the left. Neither side controls news, neither side owns only god's honest witness to a story. Both side use news media out lets for their own twisted political beliefs.

I simply sort and sift through every reporting agency I can. Contrary to your implications of me I do not draw a line in the sand either way. I can not discard a story because it was printed in a tainted media out let that simply regurgitated it. There should be a pox on the brittle, blinder driven need by both sides to belittle, embarrass, demonize the other side's beliefs and values in our country.

A little reading of history would point out to both sides that their firm belief in righteousness being on their side will show horrendous acts of racism, sexism, corruption, anti certain religions, vote rigging and ponzi schemes. through out the 20th and early 21st centuries. Who segragated the milatary in the 1920s, who busted the unions in the 1940s, who kept the blacks from going to public schools in the 1950s in some states? Your side does not walk on water and the right does not soar on gilted wings.

News is news reported by some one with a cause, either far left or far right and some where in the middle is the truth.

Any harangue that I engage in is against ignorance, misinformation and hypocrisy, and not directed at political opinion. As far as I'm concerned an opinion is a subjective attitude toward an abstraction. I'll never argue that she is prettier than another because each of us sees things through their own eyes. I will, however, point out that the recent popularity of "custom choppers" was created by sensationalist media and marketing.

I definitely don't HAVE a "side". Participation in such tribalism is equivalent in absurdity to a declaration of loyalty to a sports team.

It's unfortunate that you don't believe that news should be reported as facts without any agenda or distortion.

I know that you revel in protracted, argumentative, exchanges about nonsense but that's something that doesn't have any appeal to me so if you care to respond with any opinion, you may have the last word.

Hostess, Union Agree to Mediation

Iconic snack-maker Hostess Brands on Monday agreed to mediate its differences with striking union members before a bankruptcy judge.
The mediation session will occur Tuesday afternoon in federal bankruptcy court in White Plains, N.Y., where liquidation hearings are underway.
Hostess released a brief statement Monday afternoon confirming the mediation session.
U.S. bankruptcy judge Robert Drain sought the mediation in an effort to save Hostess from liquidation and to save the more than 18,000 jobs at stake if the company collapses.
“My desire to do this is prompted primarily by the potential loss of over 18,000 jobs as well as my belief that there is a possibility to resolve this matter notwithstanding the losses that the debtors have incurred over the last week or so and the difficulty of reorganizing this company in the first place," the judge said, according to Dow Jones.
Hostess, maker of Twinkies, Ding Dong’s, Ho Ho’s and Wonder Bread, announced Friday it was going out of business amid a nationwide strike by its union employees.
In a statement released Friday, Irving, Texas-based Hostess said it was shuttering 33 bakeries, 565 distribution centers, about 5,500 delivery routes and 570 bakery outlet stores in the U.S.
If mediation between Hostess and the Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers International Union fails, Hostess will return to court on Wednesday to continue the liquidation process.

I quoted your post about your belief that one news source sucked. Only your "side" seems to be a reliable news source reported with out opinion.
I truly enjoy reading hypocrisy. No argument, just an observation.

I have been a union steward and a member of management. I now sit on the sidelines and ignore the bullsh1t and hope to retire in 9 more years if my retirement is still avaialable.

The BS comes from both sides. You guys that keep blaming either one side or the other need to open your minds. Your side is just as greedy and corrupt as the other side.

Union leaders and upper management both disgust me so much it makes me want to spit. Neither one cares about the employee.

On a different note, just went by the snack machine and took a peek. Even with the loss of twinkies we are well covered. Plenty of sugar coated gut bombs still available.

HAP, I know these people, next you will be told you have a closed mind even though they refuse to listen to anything that is not exactly what they want to hear.
