I think you were responding to me.
I didn't compare the 675 with the KTM. I said why buy that KTM that is ugly and I don't like when I could buy the new 675, save money and be happy. The extra mph don't do me any good any more as I am 65 and 150-160 is fast enough for me.
I also have a 999 S4RS Duc with two teeth over in the rear that will smoke the tires off the rims as well as the insect could.
The 675 is not for every one and seems to be setting it's own style rather than being a clone of any other bike but with the power to weight of my 06 675 I have as much fun as is possible with your cloths on and can't wait to get a new 675R.

Here is some ammunition for you HAP; now that my 690Duke has been blinged to the titties, it is about the same price as a 675R. So you get your 675R and we'll meet on the track at dawn. (it doesn't have to be dawn, but the drama appeals)

That monster KTM is sort of ugly but it's also way more than any human rider could ever use. It gave me the willies because of it's looks and size. Honestly, I'd take the 675R any day or night over it. We have our limitations and that is just way too much for any of us to really enjoy. At least more than I could enjoy. Let's compare it to women...I'd rather have Julia Roberts over Rachel Welsh every day of the week. Does that make sense???

Speak for yourself Ride. I am a "too much is hardly enough kinda dreamer". And if you are comparing a 30 year old Roberts to a 30 year old Welch - I go no idea what you're talking about.
But I like blokes with different tastes to me, leave more of what I like for me.

http://www.ducati.com/bikes/superbik...ale_r/index.do.
It has taken the Royal Austrian/India alliance of KTM/Bajaj 30 years to build a super bike they weren't afraid would blow up if they sold it to the public. We have no idea if this 1290 Super Duke is real, photo shopped, computer generated or what. No price, no delivery date, no specs. Just an appeal to send a sizable deposit to India and paid endorsement by Bo.
If you want real performance, proven results on the track and on the street go visit a Ducati dealer. They have bikes on the show room floor.

As much as it pains me to point this out, even the Mighty God we refer to as Stoner could only punch the Duc to one championship in four years of riding it. It'll be the ONLY championship Ducati wins at MGP level, and it was the rider who won it.
I feel tempted to say that it was also Australians that pushed the Duc over the line in SBK's (the two Troys) (oh and a bit of a contribution from Foggy). Ducati's racing credibility is dying fast. Not that I am anti-Duc, but they are not the racing monsters that you make them out to be.
