Saw The Who last week
Last week I saw The Who perform their entire Quadrophenia set, along with many of the best songs from my favorite Who's Next album. Needless to say, it was awesome. However, I lucked out at the ticket window the day of the show and somehow got a front row ticket. I would have never thought I'd be able to see such a world-class group, and, one of my top favorites, from the front row in a large arena. Quite a memory, and I recorded several songs on my little iPhone video.
Drummer Zak Starkey (Ringo's son) has to be one of the best all around drummers, and Pete Townsend's brother played guitar and sang as well. Several songs intertwined a fascinating video and music interlude to combine bassist Entwhistle and Keith Moon together with the concert's performers.
Opening act, Vintage Trouble, gave a mix of rock, blues and James Brown. Outstanding. Check them out on You Tube.
They are just starting a US east coast tour right now and if you're close by, The Who should not be missed.
