Pageclaim! and an embarrased face... :o

aaah the written word...
If there are two ways of interpreting the written word, there is a 50% chance of getting it wrong.

Back to the Wing, I have a secret weapon up my sleeve, especially on incredibly tight and twisty roads with very little distance between corners.
It is called physics, I think a bloke called Newton, between getting hit by apples, explained it well, something about objects in motion.
Must ride with you one day Prop and I will demonstrate this physics phenomenon.
Bill and Suzi (the Sparkys) served my physics theory to me on a plate while on their motards one day. I was near my limit and couldn't blow wind up their arses.

Well, yes there is physics, and then there is superb riders. And the fact remains that there are simply riders who can throw those beasts around better than some people can throw sportsbikes around. That's all. A given rider will likely corner better on your bonneville vs the wing but that's not the point.

Anyway, I don't care really.

I don't like the look of the new wing. If I was going to get a cruiser of any kind I'd get a Rocket III. They are best looking cruiser on the market in my view, but I bet Honda sells a fair number of those baggers.

EDIT: Come to Minnesota any time. But it's starting to get it's still rideable right now, but any time the snow could hit, and we'll likely be stuck with that until april. I'm OK though, I've got my projects lined up. In fact, I'm off down the shed now to check my latest cache of raw bar stock for making steam engines.

Yep, seen two while I have been here, our Lee, and Bob, Vegiebones father in law.
Both surprised me. Very capable bikes in the right hands.

As for the Rocket, every time I hear about one, a mental image flashes through my mind of Tripps going through the "T" intersection at a great rate of knots and ploughing his way 150 yards into a cornfield.
Seriously, you could of sold tickets to that!

Having ridden with Tripps and seeing that Rocket accelerate from 80 to 100 in the blink of an eye, I am in awe of them.

Some of the nicest kindest and sincerest people ride Wings.....but I aint freaking one of them....... The Wing is a big bike yes....but it is a touring bike..so what is the problem.... Dog tore of the curves up in Taos and Los Alamos...and not the itsy bitsy mountain curves like some spots on the east coast eaither...I was able to keep up barely but I was riding two up and physics of course will prevail...especially when one bike is half the weitght ...this is why I am looking for a second bike...next year I most likely will tow it there with my Goldwing.....

May be prop you will show up so I can buy you a beer....

Having had my a$$ wiped by Bonnies and Wings in the Smokies and Ozarks, it's definitely the nut holding the bars. It's just a tool to use while you ride within your abilities. I like my Tiger but never push it, I'm old and feeble. The DR pulls the same triggers and it handles wonderfully in the twisty stuff. So then it just comes down to what floats yer boat. To me that Wing is about as ugly as they come and I wouldn't bother taking a test spin. The older Wings look like what they are and make more sense to me. The Rocket has a unique look and is sort of like a weight lifter puffing his chest out but sort of understated...but it's certainly there. All cool bikes...
Just wish I could get this scooter running again

It's too early to say for sure, but I hope to be there next year. I have it on the calendar, and have started making suggestions about it to the Minnesota RATs, so we'll see. Maybe I can convince poppop and BonnieBlack to ride down with me too.

You guys would all smoke my sorry old aged a$$, hope you all can make it. I'm pretty sure I'll be there as it's gotten into my blood and likely won't leave.
