Mind numbingly stupid, and sad. This guy shouldn't see the light of day for a long time. Middle aged, drunk, on a MC in the mddle of the afternoon. I wonder what this guy's history is.

I have seen and heard of too many stories where bicycles are run over while they are traveling inside of their lanes.
My wife and I are avid bicycle riders. While living in Tucson, we considered the bicycle marked lanes as simply "suicide lanes". Near every day, a car was hitting some bicyclist riding in the proper lane.
We ride ONLY on special bicycle paths. Or on sidewalks. We had a Tucson bicycle cop pull us over one time for riding on sidewalks. We walked our bicycles to the town limit (we lived in Marana) and informed the cop that we would never ride in any bicycle lane.
That is no excuse for a drunk motorcycle rider hitting bicycles. Drunk is drunk. But, in these days, EVERYONE is texting. A car is a few inches away with many of the drivers texting.
At least, if we are on the sidewalk, the texting driver is alerted when striking parked cars or the curb. Otherwise, they strike you and say "OOPS"!!

Sportsprint: According to the news story, the victims were walking on the bicycle path, not on bicycles. Not that it makes any difference. Sounds like the bike path converged with the roadway at some point, looking at the pictures, it appears that it ran along side the road just outside the solid white line. Walkers and bikers on the path would naturally follow the pavement where it leads them. Maybe not the safest situation but no excuse for anyone who is paying attention to leave the road and drive on the path.

Is there anyone who is surprised that it was a Harley Davidson motorcycle?

I'm not sure what that has to do with it?
Edit: I just watched the video you provided in your sig. line. Is that you? I stopped counting how many times the rider crossed the double yellow line whil hot dogging it on a public road.

No, but we should never waste an opportunity for Harley bashing.
