A little reminder for the Aussies

Speschly the Queenslanders.
There is a solar eclipse happening this week. First thing in the morning on Wednesday. Only those in Cairns and closeby will get the full effect. I will get a partial eclipse further south and the Kiwis will get a partial version too.

Where is Scratch speaking of Cairns?

Here is a map.

And some more details.

Was pretty good for a partial eclipse... Slight cloud blocked enough of the glare to allow a clearer view of the shadow- pretty cool all up! :-)

In his last posting a few weeks ago, he said he was going to be away from interweb contact over the next few months.

He is probably being grumpy in person to some kangaroos and such while prospecting.

I miss Scratch and his grumpiness.

This happens here every time there's an eclipse, a meteor shower, etc.
