I was surprised to see several motorguzzi dealers in Texas and one in Alb. NM.I am going up to see the BMW I was interested in the Motorguzzi and of course Triumph dealer... 8.5 gal tank 40 + mph....and heated grips....I think I am narrowing the field..

Lee,
The Albq Guzzi dealership has been gone for 2 years now, though the shop is still there, they only sell Honda Cycles and Piaggio/Vespa Scoots now. Erico Motorsports in Denver is a great Guzzi dealership and have some VERY knowledgeable staff. I go there from time to time to look at their Guzzi selection. I too have been wanting a Stelvio NTX, but they can be hard to come by due to their limited production run and apparent popularity, much like the Griso.

I may run down to El Paso. They have a dealer their. I also like riding through the Guadalupes so I get to see the bike and have a nice ride. Ex thanks for the update on Alb. I may take the wife up to Col. as well. I love the mountains up there...

I like the look of the Stelvio - it's certainly on my list to check out if I ever decide to get rid of the Caponord. BTW, I'd steer clear of the new Aprilia Caponord unless they've seriously sorted out the fuel economy compared with the 1200 Dorsoduro.

I get my surgery this Wednesday and not too soon for me. I am having increasing pain the steroid shot is wearing off. So the bikes are up for the winter. I am afraid with my left should tear and weakness right now I could lose the abilty to pull the bike to center plus riding increasing my pain so ...no bike for now. the tenders are on and they ae tucked in.

I will have time to cage it to a few bike shops after my surgery though and that I will.

Believe me, the pain will ease considerably after surgery. It will take a while but it will happen. I used to be reduced to tears when my shoulder issues were at their lowest ebb, and now, the improvement is beyond words! Best of luck, and keep your chin up!

Lee. Whilst you recover, and MG is right, you will feel much better the week after the operation, you should consider the air cooled vs water cooled all purpose bike you are looking for.

Just my opinion, but you ride as much if not more than any one else I know and in some of the harshest elements around. Not saying air cooled wont handle the load as thousands ride Boxers and Guzzi but not as many miles in such a short period as you. Just a thought. Good going on wed.

Thank you Hap...I am just getting a tad bit grumpy, tired and miserable right now. The one thing that could help I can't do right now. (I miss riding just a tad)

The Rocket and the Wing both water cooled and I have ridden them alls day, night and into the wee hours again non stop with out issue. I think you are right.
Remember we have an Iron Butt to do in the Spring.....and I am looking forward to it...
