I think the OP was attracted to the "custom" aspect of the Converses for a reasonable price (lax child labour laws?). If a good motorcycle boot company offered the same type of "custom" service for their product they would probably fly off the shelf. Look at HD's aftermarket "custom" motorcycle parts market.

Well said.
A dose of this can help when dealing with the interwebz.
It helps prevent this kind of thing

No, it prevents poor choice of tennis racquets, obviously.

Sometimes I look back at different threads we have discussed and I am amazed at how many people pop in claiming to own a Triumph or at lest a motorcycle and wanting to chat.
Invariably several will turn out to be a 14 year old, pimple faced wanker with nothing else to do but yank chains, play games and act smart.
If the OP didn't know he would get roasted, he hadn't ever read any other thread here. If he did know what would transpire it makes my case about the instigator, provocateur, the a$$ wipe who, because he owns a Triumph, just wants to share his stupidity.
Sad, but I have come to realize that just owning a Triumph doesn't mean smarts, common sense or even intelligence flows from the bike into you.
Hopefully the lad will crash on some other brand of bike.

Poor form HAP. I don't like the guys choice of footwear, but wishing another rider to crash is nothing but low down and mean spirited, and frankly I am disappointed in you for this post. There is no place for this kind of vitriol.
People don't crash just because they are not wearing perfect gear, and we simply wish to inform riders that there is better protective equipment available. The way people talk about protective gear sometimes makes me wonder how motorcycling managed to exist past 1910 - you would think the moment anyone sat on a bike in anything less than a suit of armour immediately plows into an oncoming semi or something.
I don't believe the OP is a troll, just slightly new to forum nuances perhaps.

Ever since I clicked on the link in the OP, ads for those shoes are following me everywhere on the web...it's quite annoying.

Likewise. It's the worst thing about his choice of footwear to be honest.
