I went to "Binnys" the new Liquor store in town yesterday...and I felt like a fanboy at Comic Con walking down the aisles...
I went there to see if they had Jameson "Rarest Vintage Reserve"...and I was ready to drop the coin...
Im a Jameson fan...I have the normal/base (for mixing or for my flask

)...12 and 18 year old on hand most of the time...but had only ever had the "RVR" once...at a Psychic TV show in Chicago...and to be honest I was already too Fokked up to enjoy it properly and probably wasted the $25.00 I think I remembered paying for it...
...Anyway...
They didnt have the "RVR"...but they did have two flavors I havent seen for sale before..."Select Reserve Black Barrel" and "Gold Reserve"...
These were both reasonably priced (less expensive than the 18 yr old)...Ive gone to the Jameson site and done some other research on them...the "Black Barrel" is a step above the base and the "Gold Reserve" is in between the 12 and the 18 yr old...I am intrigued and would like to add reunite them with their relatives staying with me now...
Before I commit to adopting twins...have any of you folks tried one or both of these blends...and if so do you have any imput as to where you might rate them compared to the 12 and 18 year old Jamesons I know and love...
