Chippewa Rally Motorcycle Boots
I have had a pair of these for three years--they are really comfortable and the uppers have worn well. I did put new heels on them from wearing them so much. My local Boot Barn carried them and they were quite reasonable in price.

Well I reckon a life-time boot IS pretty inexpensive at less than $300.

I'd only buy boots with a molded hard toe box and heel. I laid a bike down once and the damn thing fell on my foot. I had on soft motorcycle boots and I might as well have not had anything on. Needless to say, fractured foot and my big toe.

Think of it this way. If you are going to by a $300 boot wouldn't you rather most of the cost be put into the protection aspect of the boot rather than appearances?

Bo, I realize that Australia is home to some of the worlds finest surfing, highest waves, best built boards and just drop dead gorgeous bikini clad surfer girls.

What does that have to do with motorcycle boots? I mean it is cool to know you have other interests but???

Oh sorry, that was obviously a rhetorical question.

I don't have a car, my bikes are how I get to work. I need a boot that can protect me and that I can wear on concrete hour after hour, especially if I'm working a 16 hour day. It's not about appearance, it's about protection and more.

Anybody use rigger boots (about £23 off ebay)

They seem seriously good protection and value.

I really like the Sidi's for sport bikes. Lots of protection, and excellent comfort, though they're not that great off the bike. I wear these with the K1300S or the G650Xmoto.

For commuting with the R3T or the FJR1300AE, I wear Justin pull on style boots with customized inserts. The custom inserts give me an extra 3/4" of extra leg length, which can be handy for maneuvering at low speeds. The custom inserts also give me a boot that is very comfortable for all day wear at work on concrete floors. Justin's web site is at http://www.justinboot.com. There are lots of vendors that handle Justin. I think I bought mine through Cabela's.

Thanks for the warning Doggie, but you have to keep HAP interested in the game by feigning a loss here and there or by his appetite whetted with easy material. Otherwise he falls asleep and we have to find another weakling to pick on.

I've made the assumption you can read HAP. May I?
