At first I was upset, then I remembered how much Lucas screwed up the franchise already, and figured Mickey Mouse can't possibly be any worse than what we already have.

This is the best thing to happen to Star Wars since the end of the third film and likewise to the Indiana jones franchise (young Indiana jones not withstanding) assuming they got those too.
If its rubbish it can't be worse than Georgies recent efforts and if its not... Then it'll be great.
Either way its more Star Wars which means more cool battles with lasers and lights ambers and interesting ships although if they don't shoehorn X-wings in ill be seriously peeved, Mr Lucas shoehorned every other great character in but that one.

And don't forget, 7-9 aren't "prequals", they are what happens after the Empire is overthrown, with lots of battles with Imperial remnants.
And no Jar Jar. he's dead by then anyway. He's certainly dead to me.

I agree, best thing to happen to starwars. Prequels were terrible and I got sick watching them thinking that this will be how starwars goes down.
