Dupetryn's is no big deal- see the doctor. Iv'e had it since my 30's... Nothing much to do about it until it starts impacting quality of life stuff- putting on gloves, etc. Fingers are just beginning to curl- may have to deal with it in a couple years. No cure- but I figure there are clinical trials of a new treatment that involves injections into the nodules rather than surgery and skin grafts... so if I can hold out long enough it might not be so bad to treat!

It's probably the Aliens!!!!
Obviously its a thought transmitter, not sure why in the hand, but they're technology far surpasses ours, so there must be a subconscious connector there.
I'd be careful which doctors you go to, as they are required to report all Alien activity to the Gov't!
If you disappear off the site we'll all know what happened.
God Speed, Captain!!!

Ok, I didn't know it could take years before your fingers contracted. Maybe that is what it is then.
My grandmother had surgery and was fine according to my mom. For those who have it, you might want to consider that.
If it didn't hurt I wouldn't care that much (though still need to know what it is). I just brought in a bunch of firewood in anticipation of the power going out and that made it hurt.
How are you guys riding with the pain? My hand on the throttle hurts. I wish it was my left hand, but it's not.

I use a throttle master-to help avoid a 'death grip' on the bars and wear very good gloves with padding in the palms..

Well, I showed it to the pain management doctor today. First the nurse said, "Let me see." She thought it was the DP contracture and showed me hers, which she just had the tendon surgery on. Then the doctor agreed with her that that is probably what it is.
I guess it can take years before your hand turns into a claw.

Roxy, Jonkster once told a young women in a ..lets say gentleman's club that he was a "healer", you know, laying on of hands. Well he didn't actually get to "lay" hands on her but you may find an old, wizened "healer" and have him draw that lump right out. "Be gone you devil you" That's when the gal left Jonkster. .

I'll keep it in mind
From what I was told today I'm stuck with it for however many years it takes til my finger(s) contract. They don't remove the lump, they free up the tendon(s). So until then, there isn't much to do. I can try soaking it in hot water and stretching and rubbing cocoa butter into the area.
I guess I'd better invest in a throttle lock. I had trouble today. I rode about 50 miles to the doctor, then a few miles to the bird vet to get Merlin Celebrex, then hit the grocery store on the way home. By then I couldn't push the cart with that hand. Then another 12 miles home. It's been hurting pretty bad since.

Roxy, I can verify that incident is based on a true story, only as I recall it, the faith healer in question had an American accent. Not mentioning any names of course Hap.

Jonk, my friend. Just ask your wife if she didn't read it as the truth on the TRAT fact sheet.
