Might as well order new tires, they're $23 each for Kendra's.

You are a funny dude ride. You laughed at me when I said that scooters could end up consuming your life. You assured every one that you were safe from the "scoot" crowd and their 20 mile jaunts. You then admitted that the poor Tiger is put away in exile whilst you lavish attention on a 30 year old scooter.
There is help available, but you must want help before it will work. I think it takes less than 30 days to break the habit. Let your fellow TRATS know you need help to get free of this and I am sure some one will come right over and relieve you of the demon.

I think the little bugger just likes it when I tinker with it HAP. Poor little thing hasn't seen much love in the last 10-20 years. Probably tickles when I poke it with drivers and wrenches. On the plus side though, I pulled the cover off the Tiger yesterday. Had to get into the topcase to get a bungie to keep the side stand up, I'm still waiting for the spring to come in.

Found my new topcase for the scoot in the cellar.
preformed interior painstakenly removed from the bottom...
I'll make mounts at work tomorrow. Would have liked to have used the JCWhitney topcase on the DR for both bikes but they don't sell the mounting plate separately and it'd be tough to fab one besides the dewalt box will look cool if someone doesn't try to rip it off the bike thinking there's a saw inside.

Don't forget the phony lights and round mirrors all scoot riders put on their rides.
Will we be seeing you at the Mods and Rockers get together?

If scooters were "Village People," yours with the deWALT hard case would be the guy with the construction helmet.

and here I was thinking it would give it a tougher look, that theory is shot. Thanks a lot Triumpht
As you can see the garage is clearly inhabited by spirits. Probably has something to do with the exhaust and intake being loose this morning.

Ride,
Haven't read your entire thread (anything over a page and I just wing it at the last page) so I'm not sure why you need a hard case. I've been riding our scooter for about 8 years. Although your case looks good just a suggestion if you don't want to put one on: Anytime I've needed to carry something I used my "Chrome" Buran Bag or I just tucked the stuff in front of my feet and strapped a bungie around it. I've carried a lot of stuff like that coming back from Home Depot. It's safe and never moves around. Good luck with the resto.

There's no storage at all on this scoot except for a small glove box which will hold 2 gloves. I could use a back pack or something and just strap it down but I have top cases on the other 2 bikes and have gotten used to having a place to carry stuff. This is free, looks sort of cool if you don't look at it as Village People gay so what the hell, I'll stick it on. Now to find a Spacy sticker to cover the big scar on the front "hood". This will also hold a 12 pack of beer.

Got into work this morning and cut some aluminum mounting plates for the case. A few bucks in nuts, bolts and washers and I'm good to go. I'll put some sort of rubber gasket around the opening to make it as waterproof as possible but in all honesty this won't be my crappy weather bike, the DR holds that responsibility.
POLL:
I have a big scratch to cover on the hood and thought I'd etch some vinyl here at work. Which font do you like best? This scoot is referred to as the "Spacy" BTW.
