Don't know yet, it's stripped down right now. Changing the coolant this weekend and also need to get a new flasher for the signals. Then I'll put it back together, slap the new plate on...
and take it for a spin. I picked up a new CDI unit on ebay for $10 and also have a new air filter to put in. The CDI is known to go bad so I'll put the new one in while it's easy to get to.

Ride. I have no idea what "age" you are at but must warn you of a terrible fate, worse than death, that can happen to "older gents" who ride a scooter after years on a real motorcycle.
You call them to see if they are up for a 100 mile afternoon, "no can do, running errands on the scoot". Call em up and ask if they want to take a 500 mile weekend jaunt, " no can do, mom and I are going to the theater in the park with our lunch, on the scoot baby".
Last straw is when you call them up to see how plans for going to Daytona or Sturgis or Laconia are going, "oh heck Hap, I forgot to tell you there is a scooter convention 20 miles from here and we need to get ready for that. Oh, did I not tell you my other motorcycle is now for sale?"
Watch out Rde, you will be hooked.

I'm not worried about that. 20 mile runs aren't really in my blood. There's no storage on this scoot until I get the milk crate duct taped on so running errands is out of the question and besides, I don't run errands.
Put a new battery in hoping it would fix the nonfunctioning flashers. No dice. Anyone have an idea which is the flasher in this pic? Honda wants $33 for one and I would rather find a cheaper replacement if possible.

If it is a 12 volt go to Auto Zone and buy a $6.00 car one and see if that works. It's a scooter remember? By the way, duct taping a crate on a scoot is the first step in "Errands" running. Sorry.

It's 12 volt. I just want to take it with me when I go to the store but I'm not sure where it is. Are they all the same as far as connections? I don't know. I'm not really a mechanic, I just play one on the forums.

It will be the device connected to the turn signal wires.

Yep, it WAS the one connected to the signal wires...go figure. I have flashers, ready to reassemble the body parts now (no easy feat).

Got her all put back together, took it around the block, it seems to be running pretty good. Haven't tried top speed yet but I will. Think I'll be riding this baby into work on Monday! All I need now is a spring for the side stand and that should be in in a few days.
YAHOO!
BTW, the retractable headlight was working before I tore the body panels off, it's not working now. That sort of sucks but I'll be running the lights all the time anyhow so no biggie. It'll loose some cool points with the MILF's at the grocery store when I pull in and shut 'er down but once I remove my helmet I'll regain those points. Just need to hook up a battery harness so I can plug in my ultra awesome heated liner and I'll be too cool for school.
So far I have about $270 wrapped up all said and done, that includes the purchase price and tags and misc parts. I'll have to transfer it to NY which will be around $80. Less than $400 in all for a pretty cool scoot.

Oh my god, ride. Just listen to yourself. You are in denial already. Flirting with the MILFs whilst riding a scooter? Errands are next and you know that at less than $400 the scoot is a better drive than the Triumph. We will miss you but hope you send pictures of the revolving head light now and then.
