Knife Carry

How about the late night traveling or simply cruising in the crisp AM air? Sadly as the saying goes, "its when the freaks come out" and freaks is the least of my worries. Riding at night in a bad neighborhood with little to no cars around and a not-so-well lit area can be your ticket to a mugging, assault, or even bodily injury from knuckle heads out there.

Sure, at first sight of trouble a twist of the throttle and flipping the bird will get you out of a jam. But what if, they got close enough while you were unaware and your about to get in a situation.

A Knife is a perfect tool to keep at all times!

Only thing to worry is, a knife does not scare them off. Or they in turn pull out a knife and your in for a good knife fight! Better yet, they draw a gun?

So for those of us not lucky enough to have a state laws on legal gun carry. Which type of STEEL do you carry for a self defense? Fixed blade? Folder? Boot Knife? Bowie? Im interested in what type of blade you guys dig!

I simply can not envision effectively using most knives, especially folders, while sitting on my bike and trying to defend myself from one or more attackers.

I'm also of the opinion that there really is no such thing as a good knife fight. A few years ago my step father, in the last years of his life, was assaulted and stabbed his attacker in the throat with a sword cane. They arrested him in a huge media circus and he nearly spent the rest of his life in jail (you have to ask what kind of asshole starts a fight with a crippled 76 year old and ends up nearly being killed in the process) Anyway, my stepdad became the villain, the attacker became the victim, and it all was a huge mess.

Don't get romantic about knife fights...

Unless you've had specialist ninja training, I can't see any possible reason to carry a knife for protection against anything besides sharks or possibly wolves. I like to think I'd be awsome in a knife fight because of all the computer games I've played, but in reality I'd likely lose at least as much blood as the bad guys...

Nuclear Armed Space Missile Carry

How about when traveling on earth? Sadly as the saying goes, "sometime the earth will be hit by a giant asteroid, (again)". Riding with that threat can be your ticket to a serious life threatening extinction event.

Sure, at first sight of trouble a twist of the throttle and flipping the bird will get you out of a jam. But what if, it was a really big asteroid? and it got close enough while you were unaware and you're about to get in a situation.

A Nuclear Armed Space Missile is a perfect tool to keep at all times!

Only thing to worry is, a Nuclear Armed Space Missle miss-fires. Or the trajectory is wrongly calculated! Better yet, it fragments after you hit it and detonate the warhead and results in a rain of smaller meteorites and nuclear fallout?

So for those of us not lucky enough to have a state laws on legal earth evacuation pod carry. Which type of MISSILE and WARHEAD do you carry for defense against asteroid attack? Single Stage Thermonuclear? Fission? Fusion? multiwarhead? I'm interested in what type of defence you guys dig!

Seriously. We have been hit before, it is only a matter of time.
