Glad I live in a carry state. Much easier to release a holster than flip a knife.
But then, I'm also glad I live in an area where I don't have to fear for my life every time I pull in the clutch.

There's nothing that makes it worth $210. That's why you can buy them for less than half that.

Ummm don't mean to beat a dead horse, but seriously ... you should consider the Talon knife or something like it. Waaay less expensive, MUCH quicker to get in your hand and once it's in there ... no way it falls off. They are so light and easy to carry you'll always have one clipped into your motorcycle jacket like I do.
That being said, there are a whole bunch of folders that I like better than the SOG knives. If you can get your hands on an old Benchmade AFCK (discontinued) model, they are wicked quick to open and the feel in hand is like nothing else. Do a search on eBay for 'Benchmade AFCK' ... not cheap, but if you want lifetime quality, get a Talon or a BM.

I have a Benchmade auto-opener provided to me by work. It's very nice, but it's also partially serrated, which I don't prefer. As a LEO, I carry my firearm with me wherever I go, so as I said, for me a knife is just a tool.

So so sad

You realize that a LEO is a Law Enforcement Officer?

Rose, this thread is just an escape vent for the real cause of concern in America. It is not personal safety, crime, fear of attack by muggers that makes us want to have clubs, knives, guns handy at all times. No, it is something no one can admit to or even dares openly to complain about.
Cell phone use by car drivers. Scares the holy begeebers out of us and whilst we all want to kill, maim, run over, outlaw them, we can't because of our own use in the car. So, we just make up other reasons to want the weapon of choice we all want to use on a cager who whilst chatting on the phone, cuts us off. Sad but true.
