He's simply advocating the government's control and limitation of rights.

It took America 15 years to realize that prohibition created the largest criminal organization the country had ever seen. Jails were full, courts swamped with bath tub gin makers and millions of lost taxes were being squirreled away in gangsters pockets.
We have battled for 50 years to stamp out dope smoking. Three generations of Americans have now gone to the over crowded jail systems, over loaded the justice system and the sale of dope has created, not the USA's largest crime organization, but the worlds largest.
We argue about the jail sentences of killers but pay no attention to the fact that the majority of prisoners in our jails are in for dope related charges. 3 strikes, your out rule means it is conceivable to spend your entire life in jail for smoking a weed.
You want to balance the budget? Send men back to the moon and beyond with out hitching a ride on a Russian rocket? Tax weed like we do booze. Same agency to oversee and audit consumption as alcohol. Tax the hell out of it with sky high rates like our cigarettes. You will save the $60k per year per prisoner and reap billions from taxes and put a huge portion of the cartels out of business saving lives.
I no longer smoke nor care who does but we are cutting our noses off despite our faces in this crazy battle. All other opiates, cokes and physically harmful drugs remain taboo.
I know, I know stupid right?

I think of a thread as an evolving conversation.

Tremor- for a moment, I thought it was my own left leg! Then I realized I don't have a plate running along what appears to be the interior of the knee. Is that plate there to help stabilize the ACL? To think I had it bad with only a week of an immobilizer & 10 weeks of no weight-bearing with a broken tibia.

Hold on there partner. I was just trying to ease the mans pain. No hijack intended. I too had some hardware in my ankle and know firsthand how long and boring the recovery period can be. Perhaps a bit of mindless distraction in the form of any one of the fine Cheech and Chong films would help? Nice X ray! I kept mine as well.
