Opinion: Made in England? Or Great Britain?

I'm having a custom tank pad made. I had it drawn up as "made in England" but I'm wondering if it shouldn't say Great Britain instead?

Great Britain refers to England, Wales, and Scotland. So, between the two England is the proper choice.

Hey what about made in the United Kingdom? They're all technically correct but England is the most accurate.

Or should that be Made in Thailand...

Technically Triumph S3's are assembled in England. What percentage of the bike is 'Made in England' or 'Made in Britain' is probably the subject of a legnthy debate - look at the number, weight and value of many components and they come from the global parts bins far far away from the green and pleasant land known as England. Traditionally many folk refer to the British bike industry but most of the brands, factories and components (by weight or value) were from England.

Perhaps "Made in the British Commonwealth", would be more encompassing? It would include parts outcourced to many (former) commonwealth countries.
