Hope you heal quickly.

I'd wait on the bike, I took a Street Triple R a a loaner with 19 miles on so presumably not scrubbed in and it never felt like spitting me off. Makes me think it'd be wise to demo again and make sure it's all ok.

You're all wrong! He should lock himself in a hermetically sealed container & never venture outside again. Life's too dangerous to be lived.

Lefty, sometimes your wise beyond your years. I know a couple of Harley riders that weren't too thrilled that my Rocket tops their bikes at everything; except price... I may be next!

So I went ahead and traded in my ST3R (that never hurt me or treated me badly) against the Tiger 800 (specifically the one that broke my ankle). The dealer gave me what I think was a very good deal, and since I'm in no condition to ride my bike to the store, he is going to come to my place and haul my bike away in the next week and will drop the Tiger off when it's ready for me some time later, all at no additional charge (that's two 100 mile round-trips for him on his day off).

I was a little sad as I returned her (the ST3R) to stock, but I'm really looking forward to getting the new girl here and putting some manners on her in 8 weeks time.

I hope everyone else that's been banged up on TriumphRAT recently is lucky enough to get back in the saddle on the bike they want too.

She never actually touched down, so no repairs to be done! Putting my leg out as the bike dropped straightened it back enough for me to bring the the bike to a safe stop. I was back at that corner yesterday and I'm pretty sure it was the combination of new tires, lean angle (not really that severe) and the painted line running across the road marking a railroad crossing that did me in.

I've had tires slip on road marking paint before; I swear they come out at night and polish the stuff.
