Meantime, look up Lakeport on your GPS/Google and find the Lakeport RV Resort, we are #12. There are sightseeing activities, various animal parts for ingestion, and some Goslings Black Seal Rum for a change of flavors.
As old as that bike is and as hard as you have ridden it, have you ever thought the front wheel bearings might be missing? Just a thought sir.

Bob, hillarious!
I love the way those southern girls can turn a three letter word into a four syllable sentence.

Here's a Gravy boat /Britt/Dog pic. Turns out the boat likes to eat tires. It requires an 18 X 3.00. Where to find one of those in short order? Would you believe I had just got one from the UPS truck a few days ago for the new '67 Suzuki ? Strange but true. What a cowinkydink!

Does it feel good to have slowed down the pace Denis? Are you pretty much done logging the big miles on now?

Tires that are good for hacks are terrible for actual riding. need something made of super hard rubber. i threw a knobby on, took a while to wear it in (flatten the middle), its wearing well though.

Miss you too Mary.
The knobby sounds an interesting idea.

It is really different to have the responsibility of someone else's welfare to consider while riding. I find I am waiting for bigger gaps in the traffic to dive out into, keeping a more respectable distance when following another vehicle yadda yadda. The pace is definitely a lot slower, and more cautious. Not sure if I like it though, but carrying a passenger does have certain benefits...

I think big miles are over for the time being, the whole pace of the trip has changed from frenetic activity to a more relaxed cruising.

Unfortunately it looks like I need to return home soon to sort out some personal issues with family that need me to physically be there. I will probably park Rosie up in mid December and head back for a few months then hopefully return after winter.

Then it will be back to stupid miles again. I need to get back up north and see Roxie, Mary, Chris, Jim, Jess, and a whole host of others. Plus I got to pick up the Dakotas, North and South and Noo Joizy to complete my 49.

It's a good way for you to wind down the adventure you've had here Denis and I'm glad to see it. Great you have Britt to help you re-enter your old world as well. You really had a chance to let loose and get Yer Ya-ya's Out on that Bonnie. You're one lucky SOB and we're all a bit jealous of that, that's why we've taken to you so much (had nothing to do with your personality)
Relax, drink wine instead of Scotch. Look at the sky. You deserve it mate.
