One last thing for HAP, a little quote. "Only two that count, mind you - Honda and KTM......" And guess who won this year Buddy?

Well, knowing you & Boldor you'll both complain a lot, that's what you'll do!!

Seriously....I don't think they've given them much of a chance...the season is not even over (well, it almost is) and despite the disparity between the two classes the CRT bikes have been making slow but steady progress.
It'll be interesting to see if they manage to bridge the gap even further next season...I'd like to see the top CRT riders beating the slowest prototype riders, I think that would be a good measure of success for them.

It is my endearing quality.

But seriously, what did you think of Scott's analysis. That is exactly what I think.

If that were the case, I'd be excited.

It was OK I guess. It's racing, there'll always be changes both good & bad...I genuinely liked the 800's, I thought they were great and a nice change from the 1000's, but then the time comes to change them again and it is what it is..you can't please all the people all the time.
So as long as they're racing I'm reasonably happy...sure, some of the races may resemble a procession, but I don't know how much of that is down to machinery or how much is down to the riders themselves...to a certain extent I don't think it matters - I'm thinking of Marquez there...all cheating allegations aside, given the fact that he is on more-or-less equal machinery as everyone else, he has found a way to increase it's limitations somehow, just as Stoner figured out how to ride the Ducati better than others on superior equipment, and as Rossi did initially with the Yamaha.

So basically restrict the bikes - don't restrict the bikes...the best rider will still show through in the end.

I liked this passage.

"To some people, that's real racing [Moto2]. I am not convinced. It's exciting enough, but there's something also inescapably trivial about a motor sport where the "motor" part has been ruled out of the equation. It is not authentic. In many ways, there's more to respect in an ostensibly tedious runaway by the likes of Michael Doohan, Valentino Rossi or Casey Stoner.
