AMA Pro is soliciting proposals for a single source ECU for Super bike racing. Sign of things to come in WSBK or GP?

Honda says NO to standardized ECUs or rev limits. Why spend R&D money they say.

Honda is releasing a 1000cc V4 street model so they can do the submission process on an alternative to the much hated CRT GP bike program. You can buy one for 800k EUROs and have a GP bike. No idea what a street legal one will cost.

Susuki wants back into GP in 2014 but for only one year to see how their two year development of a new 1000cc bike is panning out. Dorna says "kiss our ass",( a little license there) three years or no go. Great way to increase the starting line up.

Laverty says that 2013 will probably be the last great year for WSBK. Thinks GP will dumb down WSBK in order to increase profits from GP. Odd since GP won't stop talking about dumbing down GP it's self. Two dumb series I guess.

As usual I made most of this up by reading 7-8 motorcycle news releases. No links, surfers know how to handle their boards.

The "Honda to provide CRT machines" bit - 2 or 3 issues of AMCN ago. The Suzuki news came out soon after Stoney announced his retirement. Everyone was hoping that he's become their rider. Honda said they don't like generic ECU's back when you were dating Eve in the Garden of Eden. And I've been spruiking that anything Ezzie gets his hands on will be dumbed down for the sake of increasing revinue in the near future pretty much since the thread opened.

Have you been rooting through your childhood collection of MotorCycle New ol' Buddy?

I cannot imagine the outcome if the same amount of research was put into something worthwhile if the amount of research was the same as what is being done in this thread alone...

I think the Dog Institute needs to add a MotoGP Think Tank or maybe a few research courses on the subject.

Dog is all over it , but the Ponds Institute has the rights till 2014 and there very aggressive lawsuit wise .
