You've been here a while Zelatore. May I suggest telling HAP that his taste is ugly is a waste of time. Your comments only fall on deaf ears - literally.

Around a fire late at night, some one asked MS Sparky how she got the tire tracks all over her riding suit. Seems our MS Sparky was once a test rider for KTM on the RC8 to evaluate the possibility of Factory sponsored AMA super bike racing. At about 150mph her bike fell apart on her from the head stock on back. The test rider behind her could not avoid running over her. I believe I am correct in saying there is no KTM sponsored RC8 racing in AMA or any other World super bike series. Privateers yes. Oh and she did recover from her injuries.

Sadness comes from no one writing about the engineering problems they had with the early frames. Now Bo, of course MS Sparky, the most honest person of the bunch there that night could have been lying.

Oh Dear HAP....

You need to calibrate your sights ol' Mate. Is this the AMA you were talking about?

This next one is from The Island's 6-hour Endurance race - the RC8 won. It was only half prepped for racing.

I won't continue to clog up the thread proving how out-of-touch you are.

You are also confusing two bikes, at least to some degree, the RC8 and the SD are rather different machines. My brother has the SD you were picking on back there, it is the fastest thing I have ever punched around The Creek. It'll eat Jap fours with Boldor piloting it. Considering that none of my rider education has been track oriented or formal in nature, that's a pretty big claim - I reckon.

That #11 bike sure looks a lot like an RC-8 to me...it also kinda looks like it's competing in an AMA race....how can this be so???

Funny thing is, I just read a thread where Sparky detailed that experience. Turns out, I was there and talked to her both before and after "the incident." She's a real trooper, that's for sure.

I read your post BKK about Sparky 675. Fire side stories seem to have different tellings I see. I like her story to us better.

To both D and Bo, I see neither of you read my entire post. And neither of the RC8s you pointed out are factory but Privateers as I said in my post.

At least BKK reads the posts on all the threads.

I truly do appreciate your courtesy and compliments, HAP, but I feel duty-bound to point out that the details of "my story" about Sparky's incident were sourced from a 2+ year old post by Sparky herself. My contribution was merely to dredge it up and express my surprise - in a small world sort of way - that our paths had crossed before - figuratively. I was in a different group than she, so I wasn't the guy who ran her over, I swear.

Oh, and does the apparent fact that neither of those bikes are full factory efforts make them any less KTM?

Yeah what he said HAP, what's your point about them being privateers and not factory outfits? Are you of some sort of (extra) delusion that privateers get some sort of head start or something?
