You still haven't let me comment on your sacred thread you know. So, I am glad Lefty wishes to emulate me in some instances. Just reminds folks there are always two sides to every lie we tell.

And you had the audacity to say my post was ugly? That "thing" you just posted is making my eyes water and I am having trouble catching my breath when I just glanced at it.
Bo, in America we have high school auto/machine shop for those who want to work with their hands. I have seen shop classes turn out better looking bikes starting from a basket case of HD parts. HD parts mind you.. KTM super bike is an ugly bike to begin with. Please refrain from doing that again or I will be forced to post more older Triumphs just to get even.

Thoughts?
I think it's ugly, though I like the single headlamp. I'll risk being ostracized and admit that I never liked the twin lamps on the Speedie. I like one round lamp.

Lefty when that came through from EXIF via email, I thought "If I post that someone will execute me". Fugly! I was fresh out of bed and still had a bit of a twinge - that thing fix'd that.
HAP, we still agree - that Kato is ugly. But it'd sure as hell blows my hair back. As hard as it is to accept Buddy, remember that Kato's are function before form, quite the opposite of your much loved moody Latin schit. I will even concede that Kato's bikes (excepting mine) are pretty bloody difficult to look at. Other exceptions are all their dirt machines: their road bikes are mildly hideous. However, you buy a Kato to ride it, not to sit it in a garage (or fuggn living room) and auto-flagellate. Do it one day, my beloved Mate! Go into a Kato dealership and say "My good Buddy Mick said I HAVE to test ride one of these beasts of awesomeness". You may see the world with renewed vigour.

I like the styling of KTM's road bikes because they are instantly recognizable, especially the RC8. Their styling makes them stand out from the sea of plastic-clad bikes that all sort of look the same.

You do grow to like the Kato's look because it performs so brilliantly, though most road going Kato's are "in your face" when you first see them. And yes, they certainly do not mimic the other plastic-clad bikes. There is a lot of plastic on the Kato, and it is usually positioned at the "easily damaged" parts of the bike. But because it is a collection of small "plastic protectors" no individual part is very expensive.
The way it is all thought out and then put together is brilliant.
