Hi all - this is a long shot but I came across an ad on Craigslist in the Chicago area for an old bike I am interested in buying. Thing is, I noticed Craigslist warns against fraud and urges people to buy locally. I have emailed the seller but no response. I can understand that he or she may not want to deal with anyone outside their local area. He or she may be worried I would eat their children and empty their bank account (s). Of course all I can say is that that is not my plan - all I am keen to do is see if he or she is interested in selling to a Scotsman! I mean, I am likely to be selling my Norton Atlas to an Australian and have sold stuff on RAT! I the last time I looked we had not yet become a small African country. So, as I say, it is a long shot but is there anyone in the Chicago area that can make touch on my behalf and see if we can nudge the door open? I just know this bike needs a good home.
