Here, as suggested is a new thread proposing an new\alternative Motocycle Picture Game.
So, what I was thinking was a similar game but with long term objectives. I seems that some players of the current game want to take part but it is a bit of a race and is often difficult finding the time to get the job done. *Nothing wrong with the current game, so leave it*
So if we start a new game with a list of maybe 10 or 20 tasks that have a certain degree of difficulty to them and award marks out of 100. For example:
first picture of a triumph with a naked rider. 75 points.*
first picture from a Motogp 40 (or premier national series 30)
first picture in the snow (northern hemisphere 35, southern 35).. o North America, Europe, Austalasia
your triumph at a family wedding. 60 points. (bride on bike +10)
first picture with a speeding ticket, 3 points.
etc.
The more interesting the better
So to play, look at the list (once it's completed) and if the opportunity arises take a photo, make your post and claim the points. Replace the completed task with another of your choosing. You can compete in your own tasks (but only score half points).
If we are to award points then there needs to be a closing date, off the top my head, I thought off the day of the last motogp 2011.*
Your bike on top of Everest, would be worth 100 points, as it could prove quite difficult.
Your bike in the snow, 15 points. It isn't snowing yet but it is bound to at some point somewhere, so first to post a pic would pick up the points.
All challenges should be open to all around the world. For example, a recent challenge was pumpkin patch, which are in pretty short supply in the UK, but no matter because even if no-one got it, it would change in a couple of days. So you couldn't have 'bike at the bottom of the Grand Canyon', but you could have 'bike at source of major river' .
It wouldn't move on as quickly as the current game, but everyone could be involved all of the time. Waiting.
So there you have it. That's what has been rolling around my brain for a few days. It's just an idea, discuss.

Yeah, I don't think that anyone would deliberately try to get a ticket (even for a million fictional points) but it's probably going to happen to someone, somewhere.
Not what I was thinking. All challenges are open for the duration, multiple photos are possible, such as naked person at a wedding (using my examples) and claim both sets of points.
Thanks Nick, I'm not suggesting replacing the current contest, just another to run alongside.
Correct. Different challenges with different points for difficulty.
