well shoot; looks like I'm a couple of hours late. I'll put these up any way.

The entrance to the 6666 Ranch. And the welcome sign on the north side of Borger featuring some antique oilfield equipement from the city's boom town days.

I confess I had no idea what kind of tree Kiwi posted so I googled it:

The Pōhutukawa (Metrosideros excelsa) is a coastal evergreen tree in the myrtle family, Myrtaceae, that produces a brilliant display of red flowers made up of a mass of stamens. The Pōhutukawa is one of twelve Metrosideros species endemic to New Zealand. Renowned for its vibrant colour and its ability to survive even perched on rocky, precarious cliffs, it has found an important place in New Zealand culture for its strength and beauty and is regarded as a chiefly tree (rākau rangatira) by Māori.[1]

OK, sounds like something identified specifically with New Zealand to me.

Kiwi - what's our next challenge?

(btw, I might be out your way in a couple months)

Next challenge is a photograph of your bike next to one of your country's police vehicles

Zelatore, if you do come over this way, Jan-March are fantastic months to tour on a bike, especially the south island. Photos here:

If we do head that way it will likely be around the end of Jan/beginning of Feb. Probably 1 week in NZ and one in AUS. We'll be discussing plans this weekend. Now getting her to agree to a week on a bike might be a challenge. She hasn't ridden with me in a several years. Pretty much since I sold the Sprint and the Magna; the Daytona and Speedy that followed weren't exactly great two-up machines.

"Country"? How about city? Here's one our metro's finest:

If accepted, next challenge is pic of bike in front of a fire station.

Awesome!!!

In NZ, all "town" police vehicles look the same apart from the unmarked ones and cover general duties. The elite drivers are the Highway Patrol and much like the US/Canada, their standard of driving is much higher and their vehicles are of a higher spec. I live in a little village with just two cops to patrol a low density country area of 1400 sq km. They have just a couple of 4x4 pickups so the chances of getting nailed for speeding are pretty low

The pesky weather channel people said it would stop raining between 9 and 10.

They lied. The bastards.

But it did mostly stop raining, so I went ahead and got a quick pic at the local volunteer fire department.

That should cover the requirements for the last challenge, so time for a new one. It's getting to be the off season, so I'll make it easy to keep things moving.

Your bike with a picnic table

If you actually get the bike ON the table, you win 1,000,000 bonus points!

You posted that about 2 hours after I'd taken a shot of my bike in front of my local fire station. Because I used my camera rather than my Android smartphone (which could've uploaded the photo immediately), you beat me to it.

Oh well. I tried.
