the Texas Panhandle; flat with no trees -- pretty much for as far as the eye can see. I bet I can get that but it won't be a prticularly pretty picture.

DC Metropolitan Area, let's see if I can find a pile of cow flops and call it a congressman.

how about barbed wire fence and cattle?

I've got my camera in my saddlebag & will see what I can get on the ride home tomorrow. I will be going by the fabled Four Sixes ranch; may stop and get a picture of their main gate with headquarters house in the background.

Texas. So much to work with there.

'they say only two things come from Texas...' I'd suggest a photo of the steer.

Or, lest you guys start looking for jokes to make about California (not that there could be many of those...) how about a pair of cowboy boots or a hat? That says Texas doesn't it?

Oil derrick? That's probably the wrong part of the state though.

Armadillo? Tarantula?

Redneck-sized 4x4 with a pair of truck-nuts hanging off the back?
(oops, there I go again...)

Photo of W?
(please don't...out here in California we like to think he's been swallowed by a black hole)

See, there's plenty of stuff you can use for Texas!

Cadillac Ranch? - the half-buried row of Caddies west of Amarillo; or that tacky Amarillo steakhouse with the 'eat a 4 lb steak dinner in an hour' & it's free deal.

oh yeah, there's plenty to shoot here. Problem is, I only have about 2 hours of daylight to work with after I get away from that darned full time job that always interferes with my play time. This time of year I try to plan photo shoots along one of my normal routes home due to the short daylight hours. If I tarry too long in another direction, then I'm driving home in the dark on critter infested hiways. (armadillos, skunks, mule deer, whitetail deer, antelope, coyotes). I prefer to NOT test the ABS any more than I absolutely have to.

Zelatore asked for something from New Zealand. How about my Street Triple parked under the NZ Pohutukawa Tree not far from our house. They flower at this time of the year for a month and there are literally hundreds of thousands of them in the are we live in. Pretty spectacular show.

Oh, and I'm a 65 year young hooligan on a Street Triple.
