Just came from their concert (date night) tonight, Roman Street from Daphne, Alabama (LA - Lower Alabama). OUTSTANDING musicians. Super cool show. Everybody wishes they could play guitar after seeing these guys play.

I've decided that the stuff falling through the cracks is confetti and I'm having a party!!

I'm enjoying how much Christmas music I'm hearing on the radio has a sax in it.

I really like the bari in 'Baby Please Come Home'. Each year I look forward to Darlene Love's performance on David Letterman. Last year marked her 25 on the show! She's 72 and suffered a mild heart attack this summer but is doing well.

Warmest regards from up near the North Pole, Mark H.

I'm sure they've been mentioned here quite a few times, but been getting into The Dandy Worhols. To the point where I'm learning to play some of their music.

I love the intro to "Good Morning" and been tweaking my effects gear to get a similar sound (using Chorus and tremolo with a bit of delay and reverb). Otherwise learning to play that on acoustic guitar as well as "Godless".

Listening to my son re-string and tune his guitars.

They were stolen out of the trunk of his car back in October when he was playing a gig downtown Atlanta. Someone tried to sell them at a Music Go Round (a used instrument re-seller). He is in music school, and one of his classmates spotted his guitars there and told him about it. It took a few weeks for the legal process to recover them, but he has them in hand now!

No word on what is happening with the person who tried to sell them.

Nice, Bob! I don't know why that surprises me; it just seems like anything stolen nowadays stays stolen.

My old roommate did recover all but a few of his LPs the same way, though. Insurance paid him full-replacement, enough to by a Porsche 914 (he had thousands of LPs), and the owner of the used record store, where he found them a few weeks later, didn't want any trouble so he gave them all back plus money for the ones he'd sold. Double dipping - probably not ethical, and likely illegal, but he made out like a bandit nevertheless.
