Harley Davidson

Just a thought......
Kind of annoys to see Harley Davidson advertising on RAT.net.
Can't we get this replaced with with somthing more aboutTriumphs?
Do we really have to stoop this low to allow HD advertising?

FYI,

RATnet belongs to Motorcycle.com, which has total control over advertising and the like. While it seems incongruous to see HD advertising on a Triumph site, just think what the HD people are doing when they see Triumph ads!

Plus, the adverts help keep this site alive.

Seems like we have plenty of folks posting about all kinds of things pertaining to HD from those who like them or hate them. Might as well have them as a sponsor. It's easy enough to ignore if you choose to, and if you can't then the ads must be working for them.

Oh, let's do keep this site! It's good for our health if nothing else. They say that laughing daily wards off disease and TBH that is what keeps me coming back to BHO. There's always something funny to laugh at, and you could probably laugh at everything if you thought enough about it.

H-D I don't know why people get all upset about High- Definition tv. I've got one and I really like the clearness of the picture.

Why is everyone so bothered by this?
Look, I'll bet they pay for click thru, so if you want to be evil, you can just repeatedly click on the Harley ad for like an hour or so. Run up their bill, and support the site, it's a win-win, right?

Seriously, it's just an ad, you won't catch cooties. And by posting thread after thread on the subject, they are practically viral.

I believe that paying a subscription makes the ads disappear. Though I don't really know, as I'm not a paid up member, because ads don't really register with me. They're just part of the scenery, as far as I'm concerned, & I only pay attention if an ad's got something of interest to me. That's why I rarely mute the TV ads. Except the really annoying ones that shout at you. & that's only because I hate being made to look for the remote's mute button so much. I make a mental note not to patronise the businesses of those annoying ads. So if HD ads annoy you. Get your own back. Don't buy one!

I must admit I'm not a good advertiser's customer, ads are just part of the backdrop, they don't register with me either and if someone points one out that's unusual I realise I've never seen it before and I spend a good few hours a day on the site.

If Harley want to advertise then they're supporting the site, nothing wrong with that !

Their ads do not bother me at all; but all the fuss that some folks have made about them reminds me of a saying I learned from my bosses' dad, when I complained about the hassle of doing business with difficult customers who I didn't like:
"There's nothing better that taking money from an @$$hole!"
