Anyone ever try a suzuki burgman 400?
Someone I know just bought one and wants to go riding. A scooter and a Bonnie... is it right?

I know an old biker - a guy covered in tattoos, who rides a real, live old school BSA chopper and has done time in prison - who owns a Suzuki Burgman. I guess if he can pull it off, anyone can.

I don't ride with scooters, I classify them as a motorised pushbike. I do however know someone who rode around Australia on one. Each to their own.

Sounds like a sushi hamburger.

400 might be a bit slow for you, if it was the 600 different story.
I like them, nice easy to ride, and with it's own built in trunk. You can look at it this way. When he is around, you know where you can store your helmet

I don`t like them, I like PROPER scooters like Vespas or Lambrettas but not the big Auto ones. They have their uses though, I have a mate, Phil, who lost his leg in a bike accident. He has a Burgman, I think it is 600 or something like that. He can really chuck it around and has taken it on a few long tours.

I say ride with them, and when they piss all over you, try to be gracious about it! It's happened to me in the past.

I was overtaken ry a maxi scooter in the Italian Alps, a few years ago. The guy riding it was really chucking it about, and I couldn't stay with him,( I was on my Harley, though ). In the next village I saw the scooter outside a cafe, so I went to have a look. It was a 750 Gilera, and the owner said it had a Vtwin engine! I was very impressed! Having ridden a few Hinckley Bonnies, I think they might struggle to beat one of these!

Rode behind a 600 on a motorway in Slovenia, he was flying - 85 mph at least, weaving in & out of traffic, not slow those things! Hopefully a 400 won't have enough poke to embarrass you on a ride out
Quite like the idea of a 'Quasar' type bike, tho' I've never ridden one (anyone ridden/have one?). S'pose the Burgerbar's a bit like one of those without the roof?
