Jenks Bolts/MotoEvolution have disappeared

Hi All

Not sure where the best place to post this as I'm new to the site.

Anyway..... I ordered (and paid for) an AI elimination kit from Jenks Bolts (MotoEvolution) UK in Nov 09. Nothing arrived for 3 or 4 weeks. Called them up in Dec 09 and was told it would be shipped the following week. Still didn't arrive!!
Have emailed and been calling the number on the site for the last couple of weeks. No response.

They've either moved or gone bust, but their websites are still up and running - and taking orders!!

Has anyone else ordered parts in the last couple of months and not received anything??

Apologies if this is the wrong place to post this.

Cheers

I'd say this is a good place to discuss it. Good luck!

their phone line's still up and running.

That suggests they haven't moved at least.

Hi spank86

Yep! I've tried about 20 times over the last couple of weeks during normal office hours and it just rings out.

Another member, NeilD, suggested asking triumph-online.co.uk, one of their distributors, if they know anything.

I'll update the thread when I get a reply.

Thanks

5 months wait so I've cancelled

Ordered a hugger for my other bike back in August. wasn't in a rush but after promises every month, I've finally given up and (by email) they said they would credit me. I ordered the same bit from Intobikes and they think Motoevolution have gone out of business.
Now have to work out how to get Mastercard to re-imburse me

Another order accepted, money taken, no goods

Wish I'd seen this thread in early January when I placed an on-line order. £118 taken straight away from my account. I've waited the requested 28 working days (my order was acknowledged) and now there's no sign of the goods, and no answers to emails or phone messages. I'll contact my credit card company for a refund, but it's bad news that the web site still takes orders.

Hi

I contacted a company next door to them at the time of my order going astray.
They said that MotoEvolution had definitely moved from that address but didn't know where to. I've since heard from other customers that they went bust.
The website still accepts orders. The money must be going somewhere. Does anyone know how to get it shut down??

There's a Brit BBC TV show called Watchdog that exposes this kind of fraud. They have reporters who ride around on motorcycles chasing crims. If they received several emailed stories about Jenks Bolts they might investigate and expose the con.
