Damn, I have been reading Robert Parker since I was a kid. I love his novels, have a stack of them. All paperbacks. Ever since Spenser for Hire in the 1980's I have read every one of his books. I am reading one of his novels , Thin Air , right now. If you never read him, he is a real treat and all his books are the same, sort of , but they are great. Sad that there won't be any more. Bummer.

And he has a motorcycle connection, sort of. The guy who does the excellent seat mods at http://greatdaytoride.com/Home_Page.php got his nickname Spenser from a DI who said he looked like the actor who played the part on TV. It stuck.

Wow.I just started one of his books last night.First one I've read.Can't think of the title right now,and I'm only about 25 pages in,so I don't know how I'll like it yet.

Kind of a weird coincidence,at least to me.Rest in Peace,Robert.
