Vote for me i'll set you free..

I could not help notice the political advertizing here on TriumphRat.net. I "usually" try to avoid political and religious topics but being from Massachusetts i thought this issue should be brought to light. For those of you not familar with the advertizing there is an election going on here for the state senate seat,Martha Coakley vs Scott Brown. Nothing out of the ordinary just an election to replace Ted Kennedys seat. This is where it gets interesting the polls here in Massachusetts say Brown is leading by 50% Martha Coakley by 46%. All of a sudden Obama shows up here in Massachusetts yesterday supporting Martha Coakley, now if this isn't an example of big government interfering i don't know what is. He claims to know everything about Martha and hasn't a clue what Scott Brown stands for etc. All he could say about him was that he drives around in his pick up truck, which he is shown driving in one of his campaign adds. Just so you all understand ..The Boston Tea Party /Revolution has started
and don't be surprised when Scott Brown wins. I had some great coverage of Obama in Boston on YouTube but for some reason technical i can't post YT videos . Give me liberty or give me death...

you talk like Obama's actions are abnormal.

As far as I'm aware this is perfectly normal in what us English would refer to as a 'marginal constituency'.

It's in the presidents interests to have as many of his party in the senate as possible so they lend their support where they think it will help.

The fact that this race is even close is historic.

It's truly a referendum on Owebama's policies...it appears alot of people don't like his big government, big spending, big taxing agenda.
The independents, who got him elected, are jumping ship.

The real problem is that everyone assumes that it is a Democratic seat just because it was Ted Kennedys, I think the people are just tired of being taken for granted, I dont care which party wins it just give the people a fair voice and never assume anything.

If it weren't for 10% unemployment, nobody would be crying. In other countries, government actually works for the people, but here, government has been deconstructed, denigrated, and generally gutted by the "free market" Chamber of Commerce profit-at-any-cost agenda of the right wing. During the Shrub administration, the SEC didn't even have their own copy machines. They had to go to Kinko's and wait in line. Is it any wonder the big banks, with money to pay the finest lawyers and bribe the crookedest politicians almost ran the world economy into the ground? If this is the right-wing agenda, to bring back (or leave as is) what almost broke us in the first place, have at it. Mediocre government is a self fufilling prophesy. The right wingers believe in the incompetency and failure of government, and when they're in power, they make it happen. Palin for President!

Lets suppose there is a country out there that has the power of the goverment in the hands of the people. Lets also say that this country has free elections. People under this goverment have certain rights that cannot be taken away by any individual or group of individuals even including their goverment who's true power resides in the hands of these people. Let us suppose then for a moment that the people living in this country over time become somewhat lazy, maybe a bit spoiled. They are no longer interested in society as a whole but only in there very narrow minded self interests. The goverment becomes a reflection of said society, after all they are taken out of the people in this country and are allowed to do pretty much what they want together with big business and bankers. When this group of "public servants" becomes corrupt and self seeking where in does the fault lie? If the people in said country are the true power brokers and elect or appoint there public servants, do they not get the goverment that they ask or allow for? Each person in the country controls their own destiny to at least a certain degree as long as what they do does no harm to any others. included in these freedoms is the unwritten but very real rule that as govonors of themselves they are also as individuals and as a society responsable for the welfare of their county. Under these conditions, are not the people to blame when a goverment does wrong or does not seek to do what is right for the country as a whole? Since adam and eve, ( whether you believe it is the inspired word or just a story made by man) the underlying moral behind it is that man loves to blame others for his own mistakes. Eve blames the snake , adam blame eve and god for making eve. And so it goes even to this day. Not my fault has been the cry of humanity since the dawn of time. You have a corrupt government in a free society? We need look no further than our own mirrors to see who is to blame. And thats all I have to say about that.
