Is it a motorcycle or a 2 wheeled car?

http://www.wimp.com/ecomobiletests/

Enclosed motorcycle with outriggers...and at £50K it is a tad expensive.

Think I'll stay with the Strumpet....

(and what's the crack about "rubber pants?" Must be a UK thing )

It's a clarkson thing, he hates motorbikes.

He's talking about motorbike trousers.

Jeremy Clarkson is renowned for his anti biking stance! He is always taking the piss out of bikers(probably cos he can't ride himself) When he says rubber pants, he is refering to leathers(something else he likes to "joke" about) He really is an arsehole.

Whilst I have grown to like Jeremy Clarksons' show of late his pathological hatred for motorcycles is quite annoying. It is a car show I suppose. My information is that he was testing a bike years ago and fell off hurting himself quite badly and instead of just treating it as "****e happens" the bozo blamed motorcycles in general and ever since has waged a one man anti-motorcycle vendetta.

Personally I'd be more inclined to put it down to being a persona he adopts for the show, All three of them do the same thing, they are partially acting and winding each other up, he dislikes motorbikes because the other two like them.

When they were riding them round Vietnam he was actually enjoying it (until it rained).

Clarkson's Bombastic Arsehole schtick has made him a very wealthy man. So he's highly unlikely to change it now. What he's really like, in private. & what he really thinks about cars & bikes, is anyone's guess.
As for the bike. It's an interesting concept. I don't like the look of it, & I don't think I'd like the ride position. But I'd need to ride it, before I made my mind up about it, one way or the other. It should appeal to the scooter crowd, & those looking to downsize their cage. & anything that gets more people onto two wheels, reducing road congestion, is a good thing IMO.

I have to say I almost like it.

If it looked more like a fighter cockpit it would be quite cool in a wish i had one as a kid type way.

Ever seen a 27 yr old guy making propeller and machine gun noises as he drives down the motorway?

I'd feel a little claustrophobic enclosed in all that plastic, of course the choice of throwing the bike away when faced with a stack is also removed. I wonder also about the high-side off, what would happen there? But on a cold wet ride I imagine it would be heaven! I'd be more inclined to go for the Can Am spyder if I was going "wierd".

I'd say that any production version would be jam packed with airbags. & some nanny state govts would probably insist on seatbelts too. So there'd be little chance of slamming into the canopy during a high side.

Had the same thought....a pair of Hispano cannons on the side to take care of traffic! If Triumph was to make such a "bike", I'd do it up in Spitfire colours and a roundel on the side....hmm...photoshop time...
