I've been toying around with the bike for the winter so it's in a couple pieces and today is the first day that has been above 40 degrees in the past 2 months!!!! Time to get the bike in riding condition incase the powers that be will another warm day before the spring!

yeah brother. I just came back from a good ( and I mean good) hour of riding in the sunshine. I have an old Suzuki that I just took out and thrashed.

I feel much better now.

There is some great riding over towards Rt 7 in CT. I plan on getting back there in the spring. You are close to the Rockers Ct. you might want to check out their rsite.

It's beautiful here this weekend. Everywhere I went I saw bikes. I exist for the benefit of my offspring until Monday morning. I'm praying that the great weather holds out until then.

The way I look at it HiD, is that one of the best lessons we can teach our "offspring" is to always take a little bit of time for yourself. And we teach that by example. I did pop warner, little league, scouts, etc. with all three boys but I also taught them to ride motorcycles and I was not ashamed to take off for an hour or two for a ride when the weather was nice. The world doesn't end. Let the little league/football/soccer/scout committee be damned. And I hope my boys follow my example when they are fathers.

Never met them. I do like their website. have you ever been to Toymakers??
Thats a freaking great area to ride.

Is 7 between Norwalk and Danbury still all screwed up with construction? Thats why I don't go down that way anymore. Thats got to be going on for 5 years or more!!

Route 7 is a nice ride ...especially if you go north towards vermont. I use to ride on it up by North adams the berkshires.....You can really enjoy yourself on some of those roads.

Just went out for a little short jaunt - about 85 miles. Had a great time. The KLR650 is a total blast. Maybe I'll write something about it on my KLR thread. Ice, snow and sluch everywhere, but overall OK. Didn't drop the bike, which is a plus.
