Are Ducati riders "shooting blanks"?

Daytime temperatures have dropped here significantly with the coming of autumn, so I noticed that the 999S' seat gets warm during a spirited ride. The sensation is very similar to a car's seat heater and not unpleasant on a cool morning. When I mentioned this fact to my wife, she asked, "So does that mean riding Superbikes is killing off all those Ducatistis' sperm?" From lurking around the Ducati forums, I know their riders tend to be younger than we are. Since a number of us bought Triumphs because our fathers' rode them, might this bode ill for future Ducati sales?

I would be more worried about the jiggling the family jewells get from vibration.

But I am past wanting to breed again, the first five were a handful, last thing I need is another sow and litter.

Yep, too late for me to worry, but I was surprised by the wife's observation. Vibration isn't any more of an issue than with my Sprint, the Duc's engine is pretty smooth.

I'm not sure where this is going, I'd always assumed that Ducati riders were life-long virgins.

The cammo pants finish off the job anyway....
