You know, this really is an excellent forum. There has been some seriously good debate of a lot of issues. It is a shame that some people get so upset when their thread is closed, but in truth, the more difficult topics will often end up closed. There are a number of people here who are extremely good at debate, and who also have solid beliefs. Inevitably the discussion will end up circular, and when that happens we mods lock the thread. Sorry that you take it so personally, but it's for the best. We have a separate area where such threads are debated and considered, and in many cases we have reopened threads for further discussion.
Continually banging on about how your thread was closed is, I'm afraid, a little bit petty. Perhaps even immature? Sorry - it's how I feel. We moderators are not paid (just a confirmation for you), it is a voluntary service we provide. We sometimes go wrong. Well not me obviously
People can PM us and ask for explanations / suggest alternatives - but let me tell you this - 99% of PMs I get about such matters are abusive. The other 1% get considered and acted upon somehow.
Anyway - really - we are totally open to these "freedom of speech" discussions, but this is getting a bit tiresome to have so many in one go. Let it go.
Just remember, this is a private site. You enter into discussions under the aup, and we reserve the right to close threads based on that, and to close those that are done, out of control or going nowhere.
