Would you do business with this company?

I am currently in the process of rebuilding the carburetors for a friend with a 75 Goldwing so I was looking for a good source of parts. I happen across a company that appeared to be legitimate and even read a couple recommendations online for them. Well from my point of view I wouldn't piss on their head if their hair was on fire. I've included my communications with the company below so you can decide for yourself. Keep in mind this is through ebay so the communication is through forms and not email. They do business under the names of Saber Cycle and Barracuda Bike Parts.

Dear sabercyclegoldwingparts,

What are the sizes of the jets included in the kit?

Dear louiskst,

Question previously responded to , and also not an acceptable condition of the offer or sale. Goods offered as pictured and described, nothing further

Dear sabercyclegoldwingparts,

What kind of response is that? All I want to know is what jet sizes are included in the kit.

Dear louiskst,

Forget it, we answered you. The item is no longer available to you. Look somewhere else for supplies.

Dear sabercyclegoldwingparts,

Yes you answered me but you did not answer my question. I can't believe your attitude. It's astounding you can do business with this sort of customer service. I'll make sure and spread the word to all my customers, clubs, and groups whether or not they are in need of parts that you provide about what sort of customer service you provide and advise vehemently against doing business with you. You must feel powerful in telling a customer to get lost but you don't realize whose on the other end of every conversation. This time it happened to be technician with a large customer base. Good bye!

You also lost aa valuable supply source with your arrogant obnoxiousiness,
big shot! We sell 40,000 kits a year, who do you think you are impressing?

I'm big on customer service. I still don't give any business to South Bay Triumph because they refused to return my phone call when I was looking to buy a Daytona from them...

It's cost them thousands of dollars...

Oh well. It's their loss...

Take your money somewhere else...

Oh, I'm definitely going elsewhere (BikeBandit). I was just so astounded by the replies that I wanted to share it with everyone so they don't make the same mistake.

I'm tempted to buy the cheapest thing they have, and link to this thread in the feedback....

was the question about jet sizes the first question you asked them? and your first communication with them?

if so, it looks like they simply confused you with someone else and thought they had already interacted with you.

But that is no excuse for their terrible customer service. First of all that is a stupid mistake to make. They must have a real moron running their ebay listings. Second of all, their immature and unnecessary escalation of the dialogue is unforgivable.

I would definitely not do business with them and would make sure no one I know does either.

Try these guys they've been around since 1932. Sadly Dave Benttencourt has cancer and is auctioning off 180 of his vintage bikes to cover the treatments. There are quite a few Nortons and Triumphs in the lot,you can veiw all on his web sight. I've bought some great helmets from them threw the years. If he doesn't have it he will steer you in the right direction.

Everything I quoted is what was said. The first question I asked was regarding the jet sizes. Also I looked in the question and answer section for the item before asking the question and there wasn't an answer about the jet sizes.

Here's a link to the listing.

That's a great idea and would allow me to leave feedback where it's so desperately needed but I am unemployed so I don't really want to spend money that I don't need to.

looks like you are not the only disgruntled customer, this was the most recent feedback given to them:

Seller has smart attitude. Will NOT do business again!

Interesting that they said they wouldn't do business with them again but still gave them a positive rating.

It would have been much more helpful if they had simply stated that they do not know the jet sizes in the kits which they supply.
