Hey guys!

It's been a while since I've been on here as I've been busy dealing with family issues, etc.......but it's all good now.

Been doing some riding but ever since having taken advantage of the Cash for Clunkers program and getting a new car - I'm just thrilled. I forgot what it was like to drive a car where everything worked, the brakes work every time and so forth. And getting darn near 40 MPG ain't too shabby either! I traded in my 1988 Lincoln Towncar in and got an '09 Honda Fit. But what a neat little car! It's small but has more room than the Lincoln ever did and it can be driven in automatic or I can paddle shift. Not only that, but it has a built in USB cable inside the top glove box to keep the Ipod out of sight!

Here's the Lincoln:

And here's the Fit:

Honda makes very good, functional, practical, reasonably-priced cars. The Fit is a fine continuation of that tradition, and will serve you well.

Enjoy, but good luck figuring out how to replace the front lights!

You got me curious so I'm gonna go look now. I assume you have a Fit as well?

The instructions sound simple, but when you try it yourself, you realize they hung the light bulbs on a string and built the car around them.

By the way, I have an 06 CRV with 86K on the clock, and the only thing I have done to it is change the oil and filter, have the valves adjusted and put on new tire. They are tough little vehicles.

Glad everything is well with you Hogwylde - I wondered where you had got to.

The Honda is prolly a better car than that Lincoln.

I looked at the specs and the engine is 1500cc that is 800cc less than my bike... But Hog I think you will be laughing all the way to the bank with that gas mileage...which is better than my Rocket...Good luck with it and I am glad your back.

Ps I may be getting one for my 50 mile drive to work...one way.

Doesn't look like it would be any harder than my Sprint.

Congrats on the new car Hog!

Fits are great cars! I know from first hand experience a Fit can down a mule deer and survive, albeit unintentionally and with a $3K repair bill.
