What is the food/restaurant itch you can't scratch?
I've been sitting here today, kinda hungry, thinking of all the food I'd love to have for a lunch or dinner. This is one of those moments that I don't care that it's not good for you.
1. In N Out Burger: Only in the west. I remember as a teen going there and ordering 4X4's with my friends and boyfriend. Miss it, and eat there when visiting my Mum.
2. Tommy's Original Burger: Only in the West. Again, hanging with friends, and standing elbow to elbow with TV and movie stars on a Saturday night.
3. Del Taco: During that special time of the month, I'd talk my brother into driving to Del Taco to get me a combination burrito and fries.
4. Charlie's Chili: In Huntington Beach and Newport Beach only. I worked there as a waitress with my best friend. Food was mondo good.
5. Warrens: Ogden, UT. Just good food. I'd take my kids during the summer, get it to go, and sit in the back of the Suburban and take in a drive in theatre movie. Good times.
6. Gino's Cheesesteak: Philadelphia, PA. I was stationed there working a security detachment and training, and I'd run the guys from the base, eat mondo cheesesteak.....and waddle back to base.
7. Whataburger: They just closed them all here in Central Florida. It was total old school burgers and fries. Yummmmmmm
8. Ralley's: New Orleans. On the way back home from work, I'd stop in, get burgers for the kids, fries, then drive next door and buy a Frozen Daquiri at the drive through shack. Yeah. Seriously, drive through daquiries.
9. HOT TAMALE's: New Orleans had these darned stands everywhere. And they were good. Just don't ask about the ingredients.
10. Dicks Burgers: Spokane and Seattle. Cheap, cheap, cheap, good, good, good. Sounds kinky though when you tell you're husband you want to eat Dicks.
11. Ballard Lock's Restaurant: Seattle. Best friggin seafood platter around. I'd eat there, then go harass a friend of mine that was an engineer at the locks there.
12. Product: Irn Bru. I want this so bad I could spit. But not sold here in the USA. Arrrrrrrgggggghhhhhhhh.
Any of you have this issue?

10 stone? Are you kidding? I'm 6', and weigh 12 stone. Then again, I work out alot, and still losing weight.
The point of the thread, is what do you want to eat, but can't because it is not located anywhere near you.

I should have included:
1) A good fish and chips meal. Here, you have to go to a fancy place to find anything decent, they charge alot, and don't give too much. I love it, my husband is not so crazy about it.
2) A good lamb meal. Again, I like, my husband doesn't. I can't find anything decent at all, so, I have to cook my own.
3) Really good spicy Mexican restaurant. I used to go to El Burrito in Redlands, CA, but they were one in a million. A little courtyard, a corona, and we were happy little stoners.
4) Authentic Mexican Food. I love Del Taco, but they're as authentic as Taco Bell. I love Chorizo and Eggs for breakfast, with salsa and refried beans. Yummy.
5) Carl's Jr. Superstar with cheese, but I heard they changed the name now. Anyone remember when Carl's Jr tried a mexican franchise? Carlo's Jr. Seriously, they tried.
I don't remember any restaurants in Scotland, because my Grandmum cooked all the time. We just never went out. My grandfather did like Haggis though, so on occasion, we'd have that. If I didn't eat what was served, I didn't eat.

Sheetz. I'd love an MTO sausage shmuffin right now.
The closest one is about an hour north from here but I have to teach a class tonight. It is fun ride on the Bonneville, but a dumb trip in a car.

Ooh, you hit some of the ones I miss since moving from the People Republic of California..
In-n-out - that'd be my #1.
Carl's Jr. western bacon cheeseburger, they had them at Hardees for a while but the BBQ sauce wasn't the same and they smothered them with cooked onions...sheesh the rings were enough.
Fatburger
Del Taco (for the burgers ;-)....

I like haggis, hard to get the real stuff in the U.S. as you have to smuggle it in.. the FDA or USDA or something will not allow certain parts to be used.
Good stuff... ;-)

I like Sushi and fresh seafood but Mrs Nickwiz is allergic to seafood so its off limits if we eat out together. Pity, so that's an itch I rarely scratch. Like the one bang slap in the middle of my back right now grrrrrrr.
