Interesting list.

It gives (#7 1968 Honda CB750). It was my understanding the 1969 Honda CB750 was the bike that changed the motorcycling world. No?

Anyways, 2 Harley's that I saw on the list. Saw the knuckehead but no panhead Harley's. Interesting. Thought they would have more classics

I am surprised the Triumph Speed Twin is not listed there as that was really the granddaddy of the Bonnie, Thruxton, etc... They all evolved from it.

You're quite right The Flying Merkel were very inovative and had an illustrious (albeit short) racing history. I saw this one in racing trim last summer. They developed the first monoshock rear suspention and sprung front forks

There are some missing. The Speed Twin should be in there.

I'm only new to Triumph (but not to bikes) and even I know that.

Was also very surprised not see the R90S floating around there, somewhere. While the model itself was merely a nicely tweaked version of the rest of the boxer range, it was a critical bike of the decade.

I think this list shows how time changes perceptions of what's important:

I doubt that in 1916 or so the 1915 Triumph Model H would have been rated 29 when this model was nicknamed the 'trusty Triumph' by the soldiers/dispatch riders dodging bullets whilst riding one

or that 70s riders blasting around on RD Yamahas or GT Suzukis would have rated the Flying Squirrel - as an example of the Scott two strokes that would be the basis for development of two strokes (such as the Suzuki T500 rated at 70) - a lowly 42.
