Wine, Beer or Water

As Ben Franklin said: In wine there is wisdom, in beer there is freedom, in water there is bacteria.

In a number of carfully controlled trials, scientist have demonstrated that if we drink 1 liter of water each day, at the end of the year we would have absorbed more than 1 kilo of Escherichia coli [E, coli]-bacteria found in feces. In other words, we are consuming 1 kilo of poop.

However, we do NOT run that risk when drinking wine and beer [or tequila, rum, whiskey, or other liquor] becouse alcohol has to go through a purification process of boiling, filtering and/or fermenting.

Remember: Water= Poop,
Wine= Health
Therefore, it's better to drink wine and talk stupid, than to drink water and be full of sh#t

I believe it was W.C. Fields, when asked why he avoided water, replied, "Because fish "fornicate" in it."

Why thank you, however, what if I drink both?...... Oh wait, that would explain why my girlfriend says I talk like an idiot who's full of crap. She said it's related to my jerkiness, but now we know the truth!

Baxter!!!

There's a time and place for beer, even wine occasionally (as long as it's red), but all else takes a second row seat to single malt.

I am constantly uplifted by the high moral tone, fine taste and wisdom of the contributors to this site - indeed you are all scholars, gentlemen and fellows of rare distiction as this topic shows.

However I'd also make a plea for Rum to be included on the list of H2O substitutes as a fine beverage along with Pastis - both very civilised brain mashers.

In the meantime.....cheers!
